“Smart CNS Center” consists of 3 departments: Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Neurology Department, all of which provide comprehensive services of consultation and treatment.
Our clinic is located at 5 Andrea Papandreou Street, in the center of Glyfada. As of 2020, it is a fully renovated 130m2 space with modern facilities, tailored to provide our customers with the best conditions.

rTMS is a non-invasive therapy, in which magnetic pulses are used to stimulate nerve cells in the areas of the brain which control mood and are often less active in patients with depression. Repeated stimulation of this part of the brain has been shown to have antidepressant effects in patients suffering from depression.
rTMS is indicated for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder in adult patients who have not responded or improved sufficiently with antidepressant medication, during the current depressive episode. Your doctor will assess your medication (and dosage) history, as well as other pertinent information, and decide whether rTMS treatment is right for you.
The basic treatment protocol with rTMS lasts 19 to 37 minutes per session. Sessions are held once a day, 5 times a week, over a period of 4 to 6 weeks.
rTMS influences electrical brain activity through a pulsed magnetic field. This magnetic field is created by passing quick current pulses through a coil of wire. The coil of wire is encased in plastic and placed close to a client’s scalp in order for the magnetic field to be focused on particular areas of the brain. The magnetic field can safely penetrate the scalp and skull without pain, to create a current in targeted brain cells. Because this stimulation is given at regular intervals it is referred to as repetitive TMS, or rTMS.
